Information:
The immense lagoon of Rodrigues Island (200km2) dotted with deserted islets and swept by the blowing trade winds for more than 200 days a year is naturally ready for kite surfing. On the sandbank set in the middle of the lagoon, you can set off for a free-ride session for beginner’s lessons, or on the idyllic waves intended for confirmes.

The island is full of spots to the delight of all.

Supervision takes place at the Mourouk spot, Graviers sandbank and Catherine Island west of Rodrigues Island.

An exceptional environment
The Rodrigues 2017 kite surf festival was a fun turquoise lagoon of nearly 200km2, populated by a multitude of islands and islets. The lagoon is protected by a coral reef thus offering clear and flat waters ideal for down wind and speed. Kite surfing in Rodrigues is a great way to discover this mysterious island.

KITESURF – Initiation Each initiation course maintains a maximum of two hours.

1st lesson: Wing handling, towed swimming, relaunch

2nd course: Revisions and first water outlets

3rd course: Supervised navigation

KITESURF – Classic Descent
2.5 hours of downhill navigation to Ile aux Chats for all levels, accompanied by instructors and a safety boat.

KITESURF – Sandbank outing
1 day of navigation in the west, round trip by car or boat, picnic provided.

A sandbank of several kilometers with 1.5 meters of water upwind and 20 cm downwind offers us ideal navigation on perfectly smooth and limpid water.
