Information: Excursion to Ile Aux Coco Ile aux Cocos is a natural refuge for seabird colonies, just like its twin sister, Ile aux Sables, a stone’s throw away.A wonderful little circular beach all around the island, located in the lagoon, southwest of Rodrigues. Duration A whole day that starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. It takes you 1 hour 30 minutes for the trip from the point of embarkation to Ile aux Cocos Departure time: The day before your excursion you will be called to give you the departure time. Route: Once you have reached the village of Pointe Diable, it is by boat that you will cross to Île-aux-Cocos. This island, bordered by a magnificent beach, declared a nature reserve, is home to four rare bird species. On the island you will have time to relax, sunbathe or swim. At noon a picnic meal will be served. At low tide, it takes about 20 minutes to walk back to the boat or the coast. Instructions to participants: Guests are kindly requested to bring their sunscreen, swimsuit, beach towel, camera, sunglasses and hat.
